As a Jew, I watched--and argued, protested, and felt sick--as the mainstream Jewish community stayed silent, or worse were actually wholly in favor of Netanyahu's plans (excepting groups that spoke out). It's not enough to treat genocide as an opinion. It's morally wrong and a stain on all of us.

I canvassed & called for Harris, donated & voted for her. And I recognize the limits of what she faced. But I was deeply disappointed in her failure to articulate a moral position on killing and maiming children and adults, but also to insist a Palestinian speaker be allowed a platform.

I just think reducing this moral abomination to "being more or less progressive" is also morally wrong. There are some things that are wrong. Period. Again, thank you again for engaging,

Yes, I have been extremely disappointed by our community too.

Ok. Disappointed does not begin to capture how I feel about the community. More like outraged, alienated, bewildered but the complicity.
