When it comes to temperature scale, I’m still on team imperial - it makes no sense for “32” to be “really freaking hot.” That should be 90 degrees no question

So freezing is 32? That makes no sense.
This, I admit, is true. However the 20s F being below freezing makes sense
100%. Celsius is great if you’re doing math, but if you’re just going about your day being a human Fahrenheit is superior IMO
As a kid, I was taught about THREE temperature scales: Fahrenheit, "Centigrade," and Réaumur. With tables converting all three. Réaumur puts freezing at 0, but boiling at 80°. In 2000, touring the Netherlands, I FINALLY saw one... small public thermometer outdoors on a utility pole. Antique looking.
This kind of talk is how you guys got Trump.
Do see my second post in the thread tho
However, for tools, volume, & extension, it’s the exact opposite. You could have 15, 14, 13, 12, 10 millimeters or you could have 9/16, 1/2, 7/16, 3/8, 11/32, 5/16, 9/32, 1/4, 7/32, and 3/16. Please be serious. Grow up
Celsius makes perfect sense you are just not used to it. Not having OH it could be freezing at 0 is why i see Videos of the US with people crashing and sliding around on the road, i think. Germans get cautious around 5C and below.
It makes sense for water, not for human beings
water is important for human beings. I don´t know what´s tough about 10-20 is meh, 20-25 is yay, 30+ it´s hot. 40+ it´s too hot
I don’t know what’s tough about understanding what is a light-hearted joke and what is actual investment in an arbitrary temperature scale
I´m german. I´m Sorry. Humour is hard for us sometimes. The only humour we understand consistently is laughing at the misfortune of others.
