Bivens is a disaster waiting to happen every time he pitches. I liked taking him out vs. McCutcheon. Who could’ve gotten that out? It’s a lot of not great choices right now.

Well, I do like Bivens, but I didn't have a problem with using Randy there.
Bivens has the highest FIP & ERA among bullpen regulars.
Beck's got him beat. Seymour's fip is crazy
That’s why I said regulars. I thought leaving Seymour in for 2 was a mistake
Ah, I wasn't aware of the distinction, or the point of it, is the idea that non regulars are the guys who shouldn't be on the team at all?
No. Bivens has 4 months worth of stats. I think that’s more indicative of his effectiveness or lack thereof
They are not regulars. Haven’t been in the majors all season.
randy is the only guy in the bullpen i even halfway trust
Lucchesi moving up my trust chart.
My issue is more that when Randy got into trouble and ran up his pitch count Melvin wasn't ready to make a move
Yeah, man, who though?
Yaz…oh wait
Doval, Rogers, etc
Those guys aren’t on the team anymore.
Whaaaaaaat
Beck or Walker though
I love using Randy there. People absolutely love second-guessing decisions that don't work but don't have a word to say when they pan out 🤷🏼♂️ Agree Bivens just isn't very good, unfortunately, though his story is super cool
Using Randy there isn't the issue. It's running him back out in the 9th, or leaving him out there after it was clear he was gasses which was basically after the 2nd batter. It was obvious & inevitable at that point
