Here’s something you may have missed in Trump’s Big Ugly Bill – a big increase in the estate tax exemption. Trust fund kids can now inherit up to $15 million tax free. Rich people don't need another leg up. Tax the rich ➡️ invest in universal child care.
A reminder for us regular people: Nursing homes will take everything and then Medicaid will take the house if it remains. We regulars are not inheriting anything.

I commend you as someone who will blow by 15 million in their inheritance to take this stand. But again, we are seeing literally zero preparation and foundation by Democrats on what they will DO if they get House back, or what if anything they are doing to get the House back.
Right now, you’re not doing anything HERE that just about everybody else on BlueSky does or can do. You are a congressional rep. You were sent there for a reason. You’re better than Scott Peters, but that is saying you are better than the most worthless Democrat in Congress.

I’ve also recommended that being on defense committee on big military town, form a caucus with other reps in USA military towns to start talking military issues, veteran issues. Bring a big cohesive voice because so many are in red or purple states that could help flip them. Not counting on much.

For starters, start visiting purple Repub held districts and start building support for local candidates: but nah, expecting Vargas, Sara, and Scott to drive an hour is a bridge too far. I moved back here from CT. The dif between what their reps do and what San Diego’s do, night/day.

Yes, there actually are some. They are called suburbs. And quick question how many would it take to flip to flip control. Ro Khanna has visited purple districts around the country. Melanie stansbury held 15 town halls in her district in last recess. Now ask Sara has long long it was until July 27.
