Could this match have been worse?
Could this match have been worse?
Why, Max? Whyyyyyyy?
Who gets sacked first between Ange and Amorim?
16th v 17th last season would have been Brentford v Nottm Forest. Does this give hope to fans of scrappy underdogs Spurs and Man Utd that they might be able to feature in the battle for 8th or 5th next year? Alternatively, would Barry rather have watched that game instead of this one?
Can we get a voice note from JL?
If Ange doesn't just slam the trophy on the table, shout "Fuck you all" and walk out of the post-final press conference as his final act as Spurs manager, will he last long enough to explain why Bratislava is a really difficult place to come and try to get a result, actually?
Spurs and United definitely are 16th and 17th aren't they
Is The Jim Reaper secretly absolutely delighted that he won't have to shell out for the United end of season barbecue after all?
Despite the outcome of the game, how likely is it Ange will get the sack and Amorin won't?
Not a question. But it was Mercy by Duffy.
Will there be any Lineker talk or are you all afraid of being fired?
Please can we skip the conversation about Spurs? 🤷🏻♀️
a) is Brennan Johnson’s knee slide the perfect metaphor for the quality of this final, b) does Max care?
cheer up united fans! at least big sir Jim doesn’t need to set up a GoFundMe page for the barbecue money.
Is it just me, or did that feel more like a do or die relegation scrap than a final?
Six minutes in - Spurs are rubbish, aren't they? Just absolutely appalling. Looking forward to them inexplicably winning 2-0.
Where's the tattoo going on Max and did he go full flare up the backside celebrating the victory?
Why did they run out of medals for the Spurs team? Does this mean someone who wasn’t meant to get it, got it? Will they have to return it?
I noticed that too - I think they had enough for the matchday squad but Maddison and Kulusevski went up and got them too. Son and Romero didn't seem to care, I'm sure they'll get one later
Aaah… Makes sense!
Low to medium on the sonic scale this pod
Do you think that game was some sick social experiment to see how much thick fuckers would actually watch it?
This really is the stoppable force against the movable object. What finals have you seen that are worse?
whats the worst game of football you've ever seen? No reason.
What did Ange say at half time? “Mates, it’s United”?
Do you think if Spurs lose, Ange would be up for doing your other pod tomorrow, Max?
"what did you do in your second season?"
A statement, not a question. Ange's footie may be dodgy at times but he's a proven winner with a heart, mentality & backbone many of his peers would be lucky to possess. He's also an all-round good man. If he leaves Spurs the English game will be poorer for his absence.
Is this what relegation play offs are like in Germany? Frantic and tense but also rubbish ans boring
Why was Son so exhausted when he’d only been on the pitch for ten minutes? He looked absolutely knackered! 🤣
Is that the ultimate Spursy way to win a trophy? Finish near the bottom win the trophy and qualify for the champions league?
Could you please explain why the Europa cup winner gets to go to the CL and not have to defend their trophy? Surely the prize is winning the trophy in the first place. Sort of devalues the competition.
If you win the Championship you don't get to defend that trophy
But this is a cup comp not a league.
How much does the 16th and 17th placed teams in the PL reaching the final - and one obviously winning it by default - diminish the value of the Europa League going forward? If, say, Villa win it next year, surely it won’t be recognised as any kind of achievement. And I say that as a Villa fan.
If @barryglendenning.bsky.social gets a statue outside of Guardian Towers, which moment of his should be immortalized?
well that was shit, wasn't it, Barry?
1) Could there be a more fitting shitty goal, in a final with 2 of the shittest teams to ever reach a Europa League final? 2)Is Bruno OK? (In Holly Willoughby fake empathy tone.) I thought guillotines were prohibited in football. Only hes rolling around holding his head like he was Marie Antoinette
You couldn’t make it up.
Does this result mean Max can call Spurs his 'big team who win things' for another 17 years?
How many tea ladies will Ratcliffe have to sack tomorrow to make up for this?
