Is this a deeply held conviction, or are we just trying to salve our wounded egos? Your bio saying “lover of the planet” would suggest the latter. But that is okay. It is okay to have been wrong about things. It doesn’t make us bad people— just people with the opportunity to learn.
AI images can appear lovely— I’m not trying to tell you your experience was something different from what you had. What we are saying is the words used to describe this: “amazing art” are inaccurate.
Apologies for my occasionally didactic tone— I don’t mean to condescend. In service of that apology, I offer you a different view, from the woods of Pennsylvania: www.onlyinyourstate.com/wp-content/u...
No offence taken. The pic is beautiful, thanks ❤️💚 Truth be told, we're all dependent upon things that are detrimental to the planet. While we try and play the long game, sometimes even artifice can bring comfort...
You’re quite welcome ^_^ And you are not wrong— we are so dependent. The point I would impress to you is that not all things detrimental to the planet are such in equal measure. We choose lesser evils everyday, and then we try and better them still.
As for comfort, I’m not sitting out here never indulging in junk food. It’s important to me, though, that I not lie to myself or others, intentionally or unintentionally, that the junk food is healthy.
I don’t think you’re a bad person for taking comfort in this image, any more than you would think me bad for having that candy bar. The point was that, unmarked, AI images are bound in lies, trading on stolen work and glory. The offense was on the part of the poster.
