Ditto. I like the occasional funny video (often shared with me by my resident young people), I like video for instructions where it's really helpful to see the thing (eg putting up a tent), otherwise TEXT ALL THE WAY. If I want TV, I watch TV.

Video means I have to listen & look, it often glares or shouts at me, demanding attention. Text can make me laugh with only a quick skim across a single line. Or grab my attention with a topic I can read at my own pace, branching to new opinions/people/perspectives. And autoplay video is the devil.
