Originally, it meant that you, as a person of privilege, had been awoken (thus, woke) to the inequities faced by women, minorities, and BIPOC people. Now it's republican speak for "I don't like/agree with this idea/thing/person/organization/whatever.

It started in Black culture at least as early as the 30's. It described awareness of racism, which, in its subtler forms, is easy to miss if you aren't alert. It spread to other leftist causes from Black Lives Matter before becoming the new term for "politically correct" among the right wing.
