They are going to get what they voted for good and hard. That's terrible and it's also out of our hands. This debate is about how to triage the consequences of your neighbors terrible decisions. And directing available funding to urban healthcare infrastructure will save more lives.
You can't protect people from the themselves and I'm tired of trying to do that only to be spat on in response.

Now I'll admit that I bear I'll will to MAGA folks. A lot of them think that I personally should be shot for being some combination of queer, disabled, and Jewish. But I voted for Biden, who poured hundreds of billions of dollars into conservative rural communities!
I voted for Harris, who would have undoubtedly continued that trend! I have done nothing to hurt any of these people, but I'm sure as hell not going to go out of my way to save them from the consequences of their own decisions. I couldn't if I tried!
For years now there has been an internal refugee crisis in this country, as trans folks have fled in mass from red states that are openly persecuting them, trying to take away their healthcare, their children. I care way more about helping them then about helping the MAGA assholes persecuting them!

Hmm that's interesting...to think about what are now limited healthcare dollars (with direct consequences for who lives and who dies) and how we "triage" them. Unfortunately the Medicaid cuts will ultimately hurt urban hospitals too, except very rich ones.
So maybe we try to find a good way to prevent that or stop it? If you just throw up your hands and say "fuck it" aren't you just enabling their self destruction? And enabling that eugenic policy of killing off the poor makes you a eugenicist fascist freak.
