Amazing!
To be useful you need district heating like in old Soviet countries.
At least some NU communities use district heating so yes, this could be an option. I hope they're evaluating.
Are there areas that might be able to use this?
That’s what that is
that’s not a standard thing?
Not in North America. Heating is usually standalone.
So? That far north could be useful
Just something you have to design your community around. It’s not something you can retrofit.
Can’t do something because it’s hard… lazy
It’s no different than putting in sewers or water systems. It’s just way easier if it’s in the original development plan. It’s like trying to convert a classic car to electric. You can do it, but it will be difficult and not as effective as a car designed as electric.
And? I just suggested something to think about, and you thought: hard, not possible… Why even bother with the effort to reply with anything this useless?
They retrofitted it to the old parts too (gas lines too)
This is interesting, I wonder if it could scale down to smaller deployments like a cottage with a hot tub/sauna. I guess it would all depend on the heat source.
Stupidity must be cancelled…if it works, at least study and use it.
