The odds of you ever obtaining one billion dollars is as close to zero as possible. The odds of you suffering from something that you wouldn’t have to suffer from in a society that valued collective good over wealth, like poverty, hunger, debt, preventable illness, homelessness, etc, is very likely

According to the NIH, 66.5% of those who declare bankruptcy do so due to medical debt (530,000 to 650,000 people each year.) Roughly 80% of those people already have health insurance. We are all one serious illness away from bankruptcy.

A “defund the police”-level confusion about saying billionaires shouldn’t exist & (nonbillionaires) thinking it means success won’t be rewarded & innovation will die if billionaires are taxed more. The problem is billionaires concentrate & hoard wealth so nobody else gets rewarded & innovation dies!

And the amount of money merely having that much money makes is so far removed from any effort or merit that may have set them on the path to becoming wealthy.
