I don't know, and actually doubt, that Newsom is right for the big job, but I'll cheer him kicking Trump and MAGA in the teeth while Pritzker and Beshear do the more serious work.

Absolutely. Right now, California can make a huge difference and is a vital part of the solution. That said, we have all kinds of messes to clean up and need other kinds of leaders.
