Perhaps. But the thing about crazy is it's idiosyncratic. One person's weird ideas are not another's unless they're being manipulated by the same disinformation. Even then, how much and how often, and by what they are fooled will vary. Madness takes singular forms.

Plus the madness of both guys is self-serving, and what serves Musk will not necessarily serve Trump and vice-versa. When you take all that into account, it's difficult for them to unite under the same reality or, if disinformation not misinformation, the same project.

That's why it's easy for these fringe lunatics to unite in common cause AGAINST something - the normies, reality as it is or whatever - but impossible for them to unite in creating anything. They can agree on what to destroy, but they cannot agree on what to build.

On the fringes, left or right, this always happens. Power may be obtained through dogged opposition, but governance itself then proves problematic unless you have just the one madness dominating. Trump is fine when he sets the agenda, but if he has to share power it falls apart.

Very true….. unless Trump is able to get his cabinet folks follower’s or cult members of him! That’s the only thing that protected us. The first time was he had cabinet picks that would not do a bridge too far.
