Also what in the hell do these people do? My neighbor across the street paid $1,000,000 for their house (yes they TORE DOWN the one that was there). They just got a new Tundra and traded in their Mercedes SVU for a Porsche Cayenne.

I know there are some high-paying jobs in the Triangle, but I struggle to believe there are enough to match the the really high-priced rents and mortgages.

I check prices on Gas Buddy before fueling my car and know that bread is $1.42 at Walmart vs over $2 at Food Lion. I feel guilty for compulsively buying an $8 nightgown today.
