Has he spent his time in recovery? Helped others? His being an unrecovered addict who is trying to destroy as many lives as possible, including others suffering from addiction, is a sign of his massive hypocrisy and lack of any compassion. And he should be called out on it.

When someone is clean (for decades), it's not our business to judge how "recoveried" their recovery is. Keep your criticisms on their Actions, not mental health. Is he doing hypocritical things? Yes 👍. Addiction is a mental illness though, you wouldn't criticize someone for having mental illness

Wat you can absolutely call him out on hypocrisy and his other failings. But you have no idea about his recovery. He used a 12 step program and attributes his recovery to God, and as an atheist I'm telling you that's fine.
