As someone who lives in the suburbs, they are designed to isolate people. My neighbors do not know each other, the only thing to do is buy shit from the 10,000 businesses and restuarants around that feel identical, and we have 5 lane roads with minimal sidewalks. Suburbia is domestication.
To live in the suburbs is to be the cat in the window staring longingly at the strays running free outside, knowing you materially have it better but also knowing that this is not the life you were meant to live.
Bars. Bars. Bars.
bars you have to drive to, at that. and then, I don't know, leave your car there and call a cab home, then I guess call another one to get your car in the morning?
