Normally the issue isn't nutrition but shelf life! They tend to prefer stuff that lasts longer. A lot of candies don't expire so those are better in terms of safety. Some cake mixes have raw egg or milk already inside so their shelf life isn't very high.

Then don’t donate them. Most food banks are so busy shelf life isn’t an issue if you rotate goods. Jesus.

Depends on the type of food bank. I know some don't allow anything perishable cause they ship to other banks and sometimes that takes a while. Always check your local one's donation rules. My family went to one before. We got a lot of random items and it was very helpful in a tough spot. :)

It was a good suggestion! I'm just saying to check in advance before driving all the way to make sure. There's so many great things people can give and stuff like sweets and period products is a wonderful idea for quality of life.
