I see you have had arguments over these things. 😅 But yes, I agree with that (except to note that breaks and hours vary). Wage theft is a violation of contract terms, not the contract itself being unfair.

I work in a job where scheduled breaks and lunches are impossible even if they were legally mandated. The airlines aren't going to stop flying planes just so us fuelers can have a break or eat lunch. We have to eat when we can.

The thing about airport ground services operations is that most of the fueling services are contracted out to companies like PrimeFlight Aviation. This allows that one company to provide fueling services to every airline at the airport instead of each airline doing the work themselves.

The downside to the fueling services being provided by a third party is that the airlines are not obligated to give us time for breaks or lunches.

Man... I have ADHD and feel bad about my distractions...

I have both Autism and ADHD. Interestingly, while I do get distracted easily, I am able to focus well enough and long enough to spend 8 hours a day fueling planes

Heh... I have a certain Green Text for that... But I'm um... impulsive and get distracted...

I'm impulsive, too. I am also a bit of an obstreperous asshole. How so? Because I have zero hesitation about replacing the headlights in my car with LED headlights that have a warning on them that says "not street legal for headlight use. For fog light use only." But I am using them for headlights

I don't care at all that these LED headlights are 3500 lumens per bulb, more than four times brighter than a typical household LED light bulb.

Nobody complains about how bright LED street lights are. And they are brighter than the headlights in my car. Nobody complains about the factory LED headlights in newer cars like Teslas. People need to quit their bellyaching about aftermarket LED headlights.

LED streetlights are way above the road pointing down. Car headlights are in your viewline pointing right at you. And I *absolutely* complain about factory LED headlights; I implicitly did so in my previous post. IMO they should be banned as a safety hazard.

If that means they're even brighter than the normal ridiculously bright LED headlights, then I apologize in advance for the head-on collision we will have if we're ever on the same road.

See, here in the US, low beams have a "shield" of sorts.

In a standard car, you're not going to be blinded by LED low beams unless you're sitting lower than hood level. Since pickup trucks and SUVs sit high, even with that shield on the low beams, they still blind any cars in front of them.

I am in the US. My actual experience on non-highways has been that if the road is anything other than perfectly flat, oncoming cars with LED lights are very often blinding, forcing me to squint and slow down trying to see where the F the road is.

I only ever notice that problem going over hills. And it's usually only for a few seconds or however long it takes the other car to get over the hill.

The other place I notice it is at inclined intersections, where I am the one facing towards cars that are sitting slightly higher than mine on the other side of the intersection. In that case, I just look everywhere except directly at the car in front of me.

The way my eyes are, the sun can be shining into my peripheral but I can still see what I am actually looking at without being blinded because of the angle of the light.

That's definitely the worst case, but it seems I'm short enough or whatever that I'm on the edge of it fairly often just passing one lane over. And there are a LOT of Teslas around here. 😑

I drive a Honda Accord. The only Teslas that blind me are that...thing... that they call a truck but isn't worthy of being called a truck.
