President Donald Trump has threatened to deploy the National Guard to Chicago, New York, Seattle, Baltimore, San Francisco and Portland, Oregon, to fight what he says is runaway crime. Yet data shows most violent crime in those places and around the country has declined in recent years.

This has nothing to do with crime rates. His goal is intimidation of American citizens in Blue states..
No mention of swing states. He knows if he does it in those places, midterms will be brutal for the GOP. And honestly, I hope those Texas seats flip blue. All that gerrymandering doesn’t pull voters out of thin air.
Yet St. Louis and Kansas City, places he hasn’t mentioned, are one of the most dangerous places to live in the US and have some of the highest violent crime rates (top ten)
Birmingham AL has the highest cost of crime per capita, followed by New Orleans LA, St Louis MO, Detroit MI and Memphis TN.
When looking at violent crime rates, St Louis takes the cake with 2,082 per 100,000, followed by Detroit, Baltimore, Memphis and Kansas City.
Most of these cities are in red states and ran by the GOP. Hell, Kansas City’s police force is owned and controlled by the state of Missouri. Their republican governor is directly responsible for that high crime rate.
