Can someone British please explain the painting roundabouts thing to me? I get from the context it's probably similar to "living in a van down by the river" but why roundabouts specifically?

It's racism disguised as patriotism because the MSM convinced them that the illegal immigrants escaping conflict, coming over on tiny boats as the reason they are poor, their benefits are at risk and there are huge waiting lists in the NHS, rather than the tax doging billionaires.

We all know that painting roundabouts in UK stops people boarding boats on France... Right?

Before Brexit there were fewer boat crossings because we had an agreement with the EU to return migrants to the EU countries that they first arrived in before coming to the UK. After Brexit there was no replacement for that agreement so the crossings increased significantly.

The same people voting Brexit to "get our country back" or whatever it was has actually contributed to the small boats they're so upset about...

They always want their country back and they always will. You’re right the Brexit voters didn’t think of the consequences, because the majority of them don’t think full stop.

That part I think I understand but what is about painting a roundabout specifically? Is that just shorthand for a migrant only job like picking produce in California?

No clue! They're also hanging flags from bridges too. I think it's because they believe they can't fly the flag because councils will ask them to remove it as it's 'racist' - a rumour started by the far-right with no truth to it other than "my mate told me it happened to his cousin"

So angry white men are painting roundabouts as a 'protest' of sorts.

It’s only happening because the weathers been good, hanging a flag or painting a roundabout wouldn’t happen if it was raining. Shows the superficial nature of their moronic efforts.

I used to tell my kids to study hard, or they'd end up with a job milking almonds.

A bit more socially useful than painting roundabouts, it would be swastikas but they’re a bit hard
