No offense taken. If he loses in court, then blue state governors would retain control of their Guard. (Of course he would lie and try to usurp that control). But blue governors could deploy their various law enforcement agencies and national guard to block other state guards at their borders.

No state law is abiden in a civil war or a coup. Bullets (or the threatening of violence) is way beyond that.

Yes! People need to understand this. He could try to do what he is doing in other states like he is with D.C., but unlike DC, those states have legal and constitutional protections.

The article said that initially the Guard would be helping ICE in their own state. Tho we shall see how long that lasts.

Hi James. Keep in mind many local and state LEOs and guilds are very right-wing and de facto more controlling of than controlled by their civilian “bosses.” Blue governors and mayors should fight, absolutely, but often they’ll be fighting the local agencies too
