Sorry, I refuse to treat adults like little babies who meltdown when they hear a word with more than 3 syllables.

You know what I think is a better idea than turning your back on progressive causes Actually teaching people what these terms mean
You don't need to turn your back on any causes to talk about them in the language that a 45 yo high school graduate in a Midwestern state can understand. They aren't dumb even if they don't know that unhoused is the term for homeless "without the stigma of being homeless".
also like i said, teaching people what they mean is a much better idea
I haven't read Chris Hayes' book on the attention economy. But it sound like you think attention is free. Have you read it?
if a grown adult has no care to learn new words or terms then not only do i have no patience for them, odds are they're a republican anyway you got time to want to help the homeless but you changed your mind because "new word"? and to answer your question: LMFAO BE FR MAN
The problem with your idea is you thing the denotative meaning is the only meaning and that connotative meaning that isn't described is discardable. You are wrong.
what the fuck are you talking about dude i didn't say that
These words come across as shubboleths. You ignore that aspect.
^shubboleths^shibboleths
"big words make me feel bad because i dont know them and i wont learn them!" again if this is you as a fully grown adult i dont have patience for you lol if you have a problem with a term like "food insecurity" or "LGBTQA" that's a you problem, catch up with the rest of us
It's not a me problem. It's a 40+ high school educated Midwestern voter doesn't like me for being an arrogant woke ass and wants to watch Trump kick my ass problem.
Have you ever heard the phrase "meet then where they're at"? It appears in addiction and homelessness work.
then meet them where they're at and tell them what the term means lol especially since typing letters into a search engine is too hard now?
5 years ago i had no clue what "AAPI" meant so i googled it now i know gasp
they are dumb if they hear a word they're unfamiliar with and instead of being an adult and looking it up like an adult should do and like we were taught to do in elementary school they just mentally shut down instead.
