my personal thing: Cracker Barrel, old time folksy salt lick that it is, was started ... two months after we landed on the moon. (I live in NJ. Somehow chain diners perish on contact with our soil.)

I'm sick of people lauding things they don't actually like. You pull off the road in a strange city you don't go to a restaurant you've never been to, you go someplace that looks familiar. * Unless it's been reviewed & you're a foodie. ** Cracker Barrel is not responsible all chain restaurants

Or, because you are traveling and exploring a great big beautiful world, you enjoy trying something different rather than the same thing you can have every day at home. I have great memories going back decades, eating at unknown local places across the country all the way up into Alaska.
