I get they are his *consituents*, but are they his *voters*? Very different. In his last election, 124k voted against him. But 187k voted for him. My view is that it will only matter to him if he’s afraid he’ll lose his R voters.

So if the town hall was a bunch of angry D’s, I suspect he doesn’t much care. If that room included a lot of R’s, he has reason to worry.

I think he has reason to worry. These guys have made it clear they DGAF about trying to serve the people. They think they have this all in the bag.

But what are the odds that his voters didn’t show? People are pissed. And that includes a lot of people who voted for republicans.

I think it’s entirely possible that audience was primarily D voters. But I think when the real effect of tariffs and other policies hit Nebraska, you’ll see a shift. But the R’s don’t seem worried about the 2026 elections.They seem to assume they’ll stay in power. Why might that be?
