It’s almost entirely a pejorative term at this point. Anyone that uses it seriously is only making it worse. We don’t need a buzz word for “being kind”. “Woke” is just a way for conservatives to say “black” or “gay” without saying that out loud.

kind of like how many "gender neutral" phrases are explicitly masculine in origin. meeting them part way takes away a little of their power, but then reinforces that they can get away with forcing their ideals on all of us
