There might be a way to drive over this and apply spray paint while in the car. Even have a camera and a button so you could hit the spot while waiting for a light to turn. One car has this color, another has that, then they all scatter.

not paint, it's illegal. Must always be in chalk to take prosecution teeth out of the picture. But I like your thinking.

water-based finger paints would most likely pass the legal sniff test like chalk does. Drone drops SPLATTERING rainbow colors would be pretty epic.
