US fighters don't have a kill switch. The kill switch nonsense was irresponsible speculation by a journalist. If it DID have a kill switch, then an opponent could discover it and use it - there's no way to build any software with a 'back door' that is not vulnerable like this.

You're missing the point, you were spreading misinformation about the so-called "kill switch" and I was pointing that out. I agree US isn't a reliable defense partner, it's that specific thing I wanted to call out

A realistic concern would be cutting off the supply of spare parts and software updates, but there's ways around that too. (Look at the Iranian F4 Phantoms, still flying decades after losing US support.) But you're right about the other stuff.
