Very true. I made the difficult choice to stay an unmarried woman in this life. I never truly felt safe after watching my parents as I grew. We appeared to be the perfect family, we were far from it. I was blessed to have a daughter at 38 & she was my greatest joy! I'm 67 (eek) lol. Where did it go?
I went to UMASS and stayed single too. I have 2 daughters and they are strong women, so I feel incredibly lucky to be their mum. Where did you go to school?
I went to Bradley University in Peoria, IL, about as far away from home as I could get!
I got lucky in this, my second marriage. My husband is the real deal. I'm extremely lucky. We just celebrated 30 years together. But I know most women aren't as lucky.
I am very glad for you. It is nice to hear that there are good ones too. My 'picker' doesn't work very well. I like that you feel lucky and I hope that he knows that he is very lucky too.
