I just want to share my love for games and have fun. I don't care about crazy engagement, deals, etc. I just don't want to be a part of that machine. It's all becoming less authentic because it's all about "what's going to pop off?" instead of "I want to post this because I care about it." Tiring.

Sometimes you really just need to have a few people who totally get you on some small minutiae of your favorite escape And social media doesn’t deliver that quite like it used to, at least not reliably

The classic social media spiral. Dopamine from more likes also factors in, impacting what we post. And in time, it all becomes superficial. When social media is done for fun and not as a form of job for income, this is really something to watch out for. Do what feels right for you!
Yeah - like one of the reasons I keep low follower accounts is I don't wanna ever feel like it's a job or a requirement. I don't envy you being so visible, either, given the amount of weird stuff that people do and say online. :\ I hope you're okay and staying healthy, FWIW.
