And yet his damage was benign compared to what is happening now. My own son is on the fence. The younger people get their news from social media. They are streaming and get no real news from tv. They do not realize social media is tailoring what they see. They don't fact check. They buy in.

great point. as dad to a 6-year-old I'm trying to keep him off YouTube for as long as earthy possible. but our household (when time is right) will be built around media literacy and how to spot bullshit when it arises with legacy news horrible it's a "damned if you do" scenario
