And they are averse to the facts; they thought we were dense enough to not realize "alternate facts" are just lies. I am not a diehard Democrat Will, I wish we had a true viable alternative. I truly feel like we are in a satire movie. 10 years ago, no one would have believed this could happen.

I am also wondering if some of the press is intimidated and worrying about their standing. He has attacked the media over and over again. What he is doing is completely mapped out (not by him) and the Nazi handbook is being played again. Up to us now.
it's a good question Nancy. think of it this way: right-wing knobs been pushing "liberal media" lie for decades and, in nearly every conceivable way, it worked. news bent over backward for repubs (platforming liars on TV, upcycling trashy books, etc.) which they never do for liberals.
that lazy "both sides" practice ultimately culminated in the final step of cheerleading a violent/fascist auto-coup. which is what NYT, Politico, CNN and WaPo are doing now.
I just commented on another post the media needs to quit focusing on the distractions and focus on what is truly significant. They are feeding into the chaos. Come on it is not about selling newspapers (showing my age) or how many clicks you get. Truth is always truth.
