A hole got torn in the space-time continuum and Phoe-Bee's (God's) energy pushed their souls back into their bodies. This is so nice to read, thank you! My biggest problem with gouache was learning that I had to lose loads of initial detail that I'd pencilled in! Had to be careful and kill a lot of previous work. Keeping that part simple & drawing over it again every time you put a layer down is a pain but works

Congrats rye on the 2k! 😎🍷 I'm just a Dan with some pens, paper and some time in my day to let strange and cosmic things emerge

Apparently toonsquid is the best for it. I have used Procreate Dreams and it has some excellent parts but was also missing lasso tool and some other things. Apparently it's going to have a big update that will fix a bunch of original issues.

Oh! This is something I do! I'm Pragmatic Magic, and I make monsters, masks, costumes, and props!

It will be cheaper, you said!” Voice 2: “I thought it would be more subtle! And, y’know…” Voice 1: “What? It would be what?” Voice 2: “Er… more eco-friendly.” Voice 1: “Oh, shut up.” *sawing noises from inside the box*

“A Surprise in the Deep” - a marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of a scary pale green mercreature that is hunched, tail curled up tight, snarling at the viewer. They are coloured like a camera has lit them up, bright against a featureless dark background. They have huge fangs, with nostrils set high between their eyes. Their eyes glint in the camera’s light, deep-set in dark sockets, so the size of their eyes is uncertain. They have pale green axolotl-like feelers surrounded by darker green frills around their head, and they are spread out around the head like they have been surprised and are trying to look bigger. Clearly, they are not happy about being interrupted during their meal. They have a scaled tail of the same green as their head frills, with small paler green ragged fins along each side, and their tail splits into two at the end with two snake-like ends (no flukes). They have pale green skin on their thin upper body, and long humanoid hands with long claw nails. Their left hand is holding a pale, dead fish, and their right arm is hanging straight down behind their tail, with their hand flat, ready to attack. The background is dark grey, almost black. “This was unexpected”, you think.

“Bait” - a marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of a pale green fish floating in deep water, with a bite taken out of the body just below the head. The water is dark, and there are six shadowy figures behind the fish, outside the light, all staring at the viewer. There are light points reflected in their eyes, but no other facial features are visible. Their silhouettes suggest they are merfolk. They look dangerous. What, or should I say, whom is the bait for? Your camera will be found weeks from now, caught in a fishing net.

I am in love with the mixed media piece you did of the city god from a dream. Absolutely lovely. I delve into darker stuff in my art from time to time, mostly in black and white. #twarachnophobia

Flowering from my Mind Abstract pen and ink drawing with looping lines filled in with different shapes, lines, and detailing. Left sections include white stars, flowers, and vines against black fields, a diamond pattern, triangles with parallel lines, a set of constellations set in a shape that is like a bean, a rose surrounded by black thorny stems, an ornate clock set to 10:07, clouds, a loosely drawn vulture head, a ram skull, and a spiraling shape like a snail shell. Below and to the right of the shell, a flower with lines progressing from each petal and shape into a pattern like tangled yarn. A section reminiscent of the ocean is above that with a cutout like an octopus or a gaping maw of a fish. Swirling patterns, sets of parallel lines, keyboard patterns, and black and white circles are throughout. Some patterns to the right are animalistic, with shapes like animal skulls, a cluster of overlapping fish, a shark-like creature, a spider, several bird heads, a phoenix, a croc or mosasaur with open jaws, and a diamond shaped snake head. To the top right is a section like a finger print with sections around it having lunar, solar, and eye patterns, beside which is a mostly white area with black detailing reminiscent of an axolotl. In the center top is something like a black hourglass with white beads, below which is a beach scene, bold black and white patterns, and a white section broken into trapezoids with dots like rivets.

I love the rat king. Such a well done piece with great movement and perspective. The elemental is horrifying (positive), and very well done!

Thank you! Those were both ideas that surprised me a bit because I don’t usually think of myself as a horror illustrator but in both cases I had a vision that I just needed to chase down!
