It really isn't 50%, it's about 20% of the population and about 1/3 of the eligible voters. We have over 335 million people in the US, about 100 million are children, most of our adults are eligible to vote so 71 million is about 30% of the eligible voters. Some voted for abortion bans, not the blob

I voted for Ronald Reagan when I was in Kindergarten and registered as a Republican when I was old enough. The GOP lost me when I got a survey that basically said 'Are you fully on board with our entire platform or are you ready for the downfall of society?'
