I was just glancing outside after reading your post and all the others this morning, and thinking, 'it's a beautiful Sunday morning in America and look at where our thoughts and minds are.' It's just heartbreaking.

Haffner's book is basically his inner battles with dealing with the Nazi takeover. It's quite resonant with the daily struggles we all have now- accede? Give up? Fight and resist? Ignore it all? It is heartbreaking and tragic, and we may have a long way to go
