I graduated high school with off the charts scores in math. My “career counselor” gave me a list of six possible career choices: secretary, librarian, nurse, school teacher, social worker or wife/mother. I eventually, through doggedness, got an M.S. in finance. We don’t need to revisit the 50’s.
