So, when someone is detained I assume there are names and signatures on the paperwork. I wonder if a citizen has any legal recourse. If not, they should. Both against the government and the individuals who did not properly investigate status before taking away the Constitutional right to Liberty.

One time I got pulled over, and my passenger mouthed off to the cop. The cop retaliated by taking his drivers license, and cutting it in half. This was decades ago. They've been doing this kind of thing to pot smokers longer than I've been alive. The fascism is nothing new for a lot of us.

This is exactly what I've been wondering. Why can't the states flood the courts with every civil rights violation and mobilize their national guards to protect citizens? Seeing the firetruck in CA chase ice away was heartening, but where is the state? Towns are literally under attack.
And why can't the Dems in Congress/Senate subpoena and hold hearings? I can't believe there is no possible maneuver. Make agents testify what their orders are, identify the masked "agents", and then go after the agency heads for systemic rights violations.

A story just came out about a guy who died in ICE custody in Georgia! Guy wasn’t on any meds when he was detained, but suddenly was on five meds while in ICE custody?? Like, the fuck? ICE doesn’t need to give you due process to fly you to El Salvador the next day. Madness.
And is there air conditioning for prisoners in the Everglades gulag they're building? Seems unlikely. It's a death sentence.
