Democrats made a HUGE mistake by running away from Immigration and not going in hard to remind us constantly why Comprehensive Immigration Reform is needed. Dropping the ball after Ted Kennedy's bill failed (that was long ago) was the mistake.

The consultants are more worried that reading Bluesky might be used to portray their client as "liberal," something that will inevitably happen anyway to any Democrat, and which advice will not prevent the consultants from being paid win or lose.

Most people just want a system with sensible, enforceable, guardrails. Most people realize immigration is good for the nation, but don’t want people walking in, over staying. They want there to be a path to citizenship. They don’t want the system abused.

Some threads are, some threads aren't. I see the so-called echo chamber effect mostly in unified reactions to horrible news. Some posters seem addicted to the viral response numbers and devote themselves to little more than posting horrors, adding nothing more.
The question people were answering before was do they want violent criminals who are undocumented removed from the country, no matter how it was worded. Do you want the grandmother here 50 years, the gardener, the small business owner, the nice next door neighbor removed? Answer was always no.
It's pretty clear that the 35% number represents the core cult. They'll approve of anything Trump does, even if he did it on Epstein Island.
And even if people did like Trump's policies, shouldn't leaders actually, I dunno, LEAD? And try to get people to see the unconstitutionality, the inhumanity, the criminality of what Trump is doing?
