I’ve read “How to create a new identity” many, many years ago… an interesting read at the time, but not sure all of it’s functionality applicable in the age of cell phones, marketing/surveillance and panopticon databases. It could be been updated, but it felt very pre-internet. Intriguing concepts.

The problem here is once you purchase these books you're creating evidence that can be used against you. You have to find a way to read them without leaving a digital or monetary trail. (I've spent too much time thinking about this topic.)

With the digital age, it does seem near to impossible to disappear and get a new identity. There was another book, I cannot remember the name of, that had another solution Clone yourself. It involved signing up for clubs, newsletters, and free memberships using addresses across the states.
