Saying trans women can't use women's spaces implies that they think trans women carry that behavioural violence as part of upbringing or genetics. It's fairly plain that trans people cause almost no issue and when a trans person does, it's not emblematic of all trans people but that individual.
They want to make a link towards "trans person violent because they're trans" not trans person who was violent is violent and happens to be trans. What's the proof there's a link between being trans and violent? Oh, there isnt any!
The most insidious part is, third spaces/ blocking trans people from spaces of their gender isnt dealing with male violence- it's saying "this can continue, we'll just make space around it". These people's argument is, let's let men be violent & everyone else has to suffer/ accommodate it."
I'd prefer we look at why society raises so many men to be violent, misogynistic pervs and try and deal with that- these terfy salad brained idiots think men are always going to be this way and will do fuck all to prevent it and actively hurt other people's rights to protect violent men.
I cannot believe people take terfs seriously when they're arguing that men cannot and will not be less violent and problematic than they are now and yet they think they're arguing for some form of feminism. Men in a society that makes them account for their shit behaviour won't behave that way.
Terfs argue for a continuation of a status quo that slinks around problematic male behaviour & they find blaming trans people, particularly trans women, for men's vile behaviour easier because it's a target they can yell at- but trans women suffer as much from that- more in fact, than any of us.
Trans people are just another quirk of human genetics like blue eyes, gay people and curly hair is. and these freakazoids would rather blame trans people for being how and who they are than form a societal movement aimed at forcing men to behave, and letting trans people just be. Its pathetic.
