Some of these might be appropriate in targeted cases. For example, I am a rape survivor. The Epstein/Maxwell rapes trigger my own trauma. I own my trauma & continue to heal. I am not triggered by the Rapists. But I am deeply triggered by other rape survivor stories.

I’m a rape survivor as well & know I can only control my own responses & emotions. (Yay therapy) To expect other rape survivors to not share stories, experiences, and feelings (especially when doing so could affect policy change) because I’m uncomfortable seems deeply unfair to other victims.

I support survivors to share their story when they want to or are able to. I support rape survivors to not share their stories. It has taken me decades to openly share my story. For me, sharing has reduced my triggers. Therapy, energy work has made it possible for me to be free from my own trauma.

That’s awesome. I’m glad it’s helped you too. It’s a shame we don’t have universal healthcare for mental health. It’s so desperately needed. I don’t trust any adult who has never been to a therapist.
