"Women actually make most financial decisions in households, but men are the ones who are seen as the experts, and our financial system is shaped around their life cycles."

THAT IS BECAUSE OF A SIMPLE STATISTIC. TRADITIONALLY, UP UNTIL THE PAST FEW YEARS, MORE MEN WORKED THAN WOMEN, WHO STAYED HOME TO RAISE CHILDREN. THAT HAS CHANGED TO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FACT ON THE RISE RAPIDLY, & WILL CONTINUE BECAUSE OF TRUMPISM DESTROYING THE ECONOMY. 2 JOBS ARE STANDARD.

From my professional experience, to this day, in most households women make the everyday buying decisions, but the men are more involved in the bigger picture strategic planning decisions. Not always, of course, but that's still the common division of labor.

Hello, It is 2025, not 1978. This antiquated sex role nonsense is really stale-last century. Move on.

When I was young I went to a Church Of Christ in rural Alabama. The women weren't allowed to handle Church finances or speak in church. Which was strange because I knew damn well they controlled their households at home.

I don’t mind my lady making financial decisions & managing the money as long as I can buy my tools, boat, boat gear, ATVs and toys.
