I think I've seen powdered or instant lapsangs before, I think maybe they make sense here.

you can use any heating process (roasting/dry frying is the most common outside japan) for tea drying, but yellow teas like pu-erh, and certain black teas like lapsang are also steamed

un-aged puerh is called maocha, no idea if thats a link tho
