I’m operating on facts: 1. Newsom redistrictiing is the bare minimum he should be doing. No politician should be congratulated for that. 2. Newsom is a horrible person who will throw trans and homeless people to the wolfs without a second thought. He’s Trump-Lite, and that’s a fact.
The fact, to use your framing, is he is the *only one* doing your own "bare minimum". If you don't think that deserves recognition, you don't understand the most basic things about human behavior and are unlikely to ever achieve your political goals. But you do you.

You should try talking to people who are or have experienced homelessness and those in the trans community how they feel about Newsom. I think you’ll find outside of your liberal bubble most people aren’t happy with Democrats right now.
