Jurassic World Rebirth ..............*DEEP SHRUG* I kinda hated it and I kinda liked it? I like that there are dinosaurs, the hybrid raptors are now my children and I'd die for Dolores. That's my take away 👍

It was better than dominion in that it didn’t feel like a million things were happening at once and people actually died in it. It’s a fine movie. It just didn’t feel like a jurassic park movie.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=d87s...
I enjoyed it overall. Had issues with it but it’s better than Fallen Kingdom & Dominion, plus the dinosaurs are the best they’ve ever looked in almost 25 years.
Cool. Glady I'd saw new Superman movie. That was awesome and epice.
Def better than the last one, that's for sure. Would love to see Gareth direct another one since he did a great job. Koepp writing again? Eh...
I haven't seen the new once yet.
I love the river scene I don't jump normally during a movie but this is what made me jump
As a huge Jurassic park fan, the movie was definitely “meh.” But I also liked it. It was fun to see all the dinosaurs (though don’t get me started on the D-Rex..) But it does feel like they picked a random plot to throw dinosaurs in
At least it's way better than Dominion.
I haven’t seen the movie, just an interview where apparently a little girl who was in the film needed to know how to swim for some scene, and she couldn’t, but she lied and said she could during auditions. Only learned when she booked the part. I respect that.
The D Rex was so fucking ugly,.. looked more like a alien
Wasn't the D-rex a prototype of the Indominus Rex or a more mutated version of a T-Rex?
I think it was a mutated t-rex. That they possibly wanted to make smarter hence the smash-face?
Far better movie than the Superman for morron
Saw the movie too, it was ok-ish. One thing I would say, who here would agree that the mutated dinosaur almost looks like a Rancor.
Some moments made me go “…. But… how did that happen?” To “Why though?!” The premise that people have grown to not care about dinosaurs is the dumbest shit. Those animals are gone yet to this day children/adults LOVE them, if alive people would lose their goddamn minds all day every day.
Also maybe the D-Rex had such a brief entry because they intend to give it another role in the next film (y’know despite the trailers -HYPING- IT?!)? The fact that the overall climate/vegetation/environment had changed therefore the animals could only survive in a secluded biome made sense at least.
LESBAIN DINOSAURS!!! 🦕
Now I kinda wanna draw one of the Dino-Demons, but JWR mutant-dino versions
Any thoughts on the beluga monster?
And Superman?
Why don’t people learn that the series peaked with the first and never did again
I feel like I'll like it Just because of dinosaurs. I'm patiently waiting for the day they make a better monster Hunter movie than the monster Hunter movie.
ooo, if you go see Superman share you thoughts, i went to see it and i LOVED it
oh i have feelings about this movie, mostly positive probably, but its a weird one cos it didn't really have a plot?.... it felt more like a proof of concept then an actual movie. but i genuinely think the dions were the best since jp1 😭😩 i was scared and cried 💖 i wanna watch it again
Hi Viv, could you please reprint and restock your Loona bad mood 80s style t-shirts? I never got a chance to buy one, and I would love to own one for myself. I would greatly appreciate it if you could and would. Also, will there be more Helluva Hazbin character plushes made?
Honestly Viv? My favorite sequence in the film was the T-Rex chase. One, because it adapted a scene from the original Jurassic Park novel Two, awesome looking T-Rex 😁
IT felt underwhelming ;(
Really, what we want is a Turok movie.
Honestly for me I am just happy the are going back to how the classic Jurassic park movies were survival thrillers rather than the action flick the other world films seemed to go for (it’s why I am happy there was no Dino fight to end the film off just the humans escaping the island)
They are*
I haven't watched the two most recent ones. Are they worth scaring up and giving them a watch? (Types the person that has at least three different copies of the first two on dvd.)
My only opinions of the film are based on the merch I see in stores, so the D-Rex being a weird scrungly guy gives the movie big ups in that regard alone.
Respect
real talk though,-why the fuck are all the World movies so reliant on the plot that people are sick of dinosaurs?? in what universe would that be a thing???? LIKE??? -big hate for that premise.
It could be the same reason why Zombies fell off in a certain way. It might not be as good as it was but still overall fun.
I mean, I'm getting pretty sick of dinosaurs... almost entirely as a result of getting sick of Jurassic World's entire existence. So perhaps it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Like the franchise version of a person who's biggest obstacle to success is their own insecurity.
As I said to my partner, capitalist line must go up logic meets trying to compare a dinosaur park with the complicated and troubling reality of zoos in the current day (under visited, under funded, over criticized etc)
The book "Jurassic Park" teaches that when science outpaces ethics, and nature is treated like a machine to be controlled, disaster is inevitable. It is not so much about liking dinosaurs, but rather the consequences of bringing back extinct ecosystems and organisms we know nothing about.
Jurassic World movies make little sense. A guy firing a pistol at a T-Rex an it's head exploding like the tank in Saving private Ryan would be a more reasonable scene than in all the movies.
just gotta make some Dino Anthros wearing pencil dresses that will draw $$$
CEOs are so used to killing off good ideas so they can sell new products that they genuinely believe that's how everyone thinks.
My main problem with the movie was the people. Sure we got a back stabbing evil moneymonger but are you bringing 7 unarmed people to a island full of monsters. Sure beautiful creatures but they will kill you
The second Jurassic park movie at least had the decency to bring weapons and a team with way more than 10 people
They are referring to the fact the park is owned by a corporation and the dinosaurs are a product. Naturally, when product sales start slipping because it has been normalized, naturally, you make the product bigger and better to regain public attention. That was the entire reason they made hybrids.
I would just get sick of every few years some rich jackass decides they need to take an already semi hard to manage creature and make more leathal and harder to tame versions just for giggles. Like the first book explained, just cause science can do something doesn't mean it should.
That, and the fact that living dinosaurs sold at a private auction for a few millions in Fallen Kingdom. Paintings sell for more than than that. Hell, only last year, stegosaurus skeleton "Apex" sold for almost 45 millions. If anything, people are MORE interested in dinosaurs/fossils now.
exactly like how do you get sick of a gigantic mosasaurus or triceratops riding or even the tyrannosaurus like HOW!?!?
who would EVER get sick of dinosaurs
I assume it's because Disney thinks that is true for audiences? And I mean, yeah, you won't capture the wonder of seeing those dinosaurs for a second time, but people would still go see them? Theh still go see the movies too, and those are not actually living dinosaurs!? Peopel still go to the zoo!?
I mean they tried to bring back Dinosaurs like a bunch of times in universe and every time the dinosaurs escaped and killed thousands of people, so yeah if a dinosaur eat a loved one i’d hate em too
I'm starting to think that these movies have pretty much run their course.
Like seriously we've had zoos for how long and it takes people a few years to get tired of dinos bs lol
They seem to be treated like giant rodents. They get in the way, cause mischief and mayhem, eat people on occasion. But the idea that the entire Earth universally agreed to just abandon the equator is a much more hilarious way to attain a level of preservation for them.
People think dinosaurs are so cool that all these movies are box office hits even with how mid they are And people still go to zoos all the time so the idea that people would be bored of a dinosaur zoo is insane
For real! That doesn't make any sense I mean, in the real world now we're still not sick of seeing the wonders of animals that already exists for a long long time XD And the dinosaurs in the movie universe only been there for decades lol
RIGHT??
The only reasoning I can think of is if they've been around for long enough that people grew up seeing them, but then I realize that doesn't make sense. I mean last time I checked giraffes have been around for at the very least as long as I've been alive and I'd still be down with going to a zoo.
i guess its a difference if tbe giraffe breaks out to hunt humans on a regular scedule you get sick of it at one point 😅
What do you mean? I'd be fascinated. 😂 Giraffes don't even eat people. So it's personal at that point.
Yeah I never got that either. Should’ve gone at it through a capitalist angle in that while people still love dinosaurs, what would rake in more cash than a brand new dinosaur they made themselves? Either that or the route of making it so that humanity wants to see what happens so it does.
we don’t get bored of the animals we have now so why would we ever be bored of lizards that rawwwr
I think it would work better if it centered around a Frankenstein complex where the scientist wants to make something new inorder to consider themself a god or to use said hybrids to help the ecosystem
Tbf I’d kinda be scared if a bunch of dinosaurs and or prehistoric creatures were up and about running around alive today. I’m paranoid enough as it is
That and the probably negative impact they’d probably have on the ecosystem
I feel they don't process what movie vs in-universe life means; aka I suppose hollywood might worry that people get burnt out on dinosaur MOVIES, but that says nothing about how people in-universe would react to dinosaur ZOOS. People don't get sick of zoos and demand "better animals"!
If they are worried about people being burnt out by dinosaur movies, then that mostly says something about the Jurassic World films as they are really the only dinosaur movies in cinemas nowadays, Last dinosaur movies I can think of is 65.
There's the manga "Dinosaur Sanctuary", people there aren't sick of the dinosar zoos, which are as safe as other zoos, it's just that the novelty has faded and they are now seen and visited like normal zoos.
Oh no, capitalist growth logic, of course :( ; legal obligation to the shareholders to REMAIN a novelty that keeps growing profits, indefinitely, even though logically all dino nerds have already been turned into loyal visitors; "JP: post-enshittification"
Think of it this way. When was the last time you were excited to see the elephants at the zoo? There was a time when that would be all anyone talked about for years, was seeing an elephant in a traveling zoo.
it's almost like every one of these movies is written by since guy who has zero interest in playing the ball where it lies so we need a text crawl explaining why none of that is true anymore. meanwhile exes remember how kids like me loved the chaos theory line toys?
Well, in-universe it's probably their version of getting tired of superheroes. Since the park opened up they've probably been inundated with dinosaur media left and right, movies, games, merchandising, etc. And to corporations any significant dip in sales tells them the world is "sick" of things.
Fitting isn't it. Movies about "What if we really misunderstand our audience and think they won't like Jurassic World for the dinosaurs??" wherein they misjudge their audience and think they won't like Jurassic World for the dinosaurs.
I highly recommend the Netflix animated series Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory tho! Really fun watches
I guess the reasoning is there wouldn’t be a movie without it
i can only imagine people are sick of the dinosaurs cuz the billionaires keep getting their hands on them and trying to make a billion more dollars while everyone else gets eaten 😅
You would be sick of dinosaurs if they kept destroying your yard every day.
And snickers wrapping🤦
imagine chickens now imagine those chickens being 1000x bigger and hungrier and so much louder and so much more annoying it just makes sense
Anyone who hates dinosaurs is likely the most dull, unimaginative person in existence. And they can get eaten first when we "accidentally" bring back dinosaurs.
To be fair after being eaten and killed what 9-10 times people probably would kind of be hesitant because of that whole peaky death thing. Just my opinion anyways for plausible explanation.
People would mostly be sick of the fact that the people that try to make dinosaur zoos are fucking morons who never consulted any experts on how to handle animals and zoos.
Land Before Time, suckers! We've BEEN loving dinosaurs for a long ass time 😎❤️
The OG dinosaur movie that made a generation sob inconsolably. 🥹
We may get sick of the franchise making more movies, but we will never be sick of dinosaurs
IDK kinda feel like there should be more feathers at this point. Also nothing can top that scene in Jurassic World 2015 where Claire Dearing outran a TRex on high heels 😂👠🦖
For real! I'd be taming those suckers and helping them live their best lives! ♥️🦖 I can see how the average person would get frustrated though. 😆
My main issue is the idea that the modern world was just too cold and oxygen poor for the dinosaurs, and they all died. Especially since it's becoming a decently known fact that even if the Mesozoic was overall warmer than today, dinosaurs still lived in the climates similar to the ones now.
They would probably have some issue coevolving with modern diseases though
True, but they don't really name that as the cause. Just said that the modern ecosystem away from the equator is "too different." Even though all the plants and animals living in those regions would also be completely different as well.
that's how I thought of it too it was ok but also sort of dumb but I loved each bit of screentime of the dinos
The D-Rex funny
youtu.be/428IyxSfsls?... I've been sharing this on my other social media platforms and saying "In case you were curious what the new Jurassic Park is about"
Have to admit that movie was kinda mid what really got me off edge was the boyfriend and the family and the somewhat of stupid decisions but the dinosaurs was on point including the d Rex
I saw the movie yesterday in 4D, gotta say, the 4D experience was the highlight of the movie for me more than the actual movie. That bring said, Dolores is already my new favourite character in the entire franchise.
I think you might have found a new inspiration for a new character💡
VIVID CAN I SHOW YOU MY STATIC APPLE TWEEN..? 🥺
The thing about the movie I personally hate, is fumbling the cool premise like that so badly. It's basically a mishmash of the marketing sins: the marketable baby to sell toys for a franchise that started as horror, the main bait of the trailers, downsyndromus rex having 5 minutes of screen time.
Everyone in that movie did everything they absolutely shouldn’t. Very hard to root for them.
Feel you. Couldn’t wrap it up better myself. Jurassic Shrug
It’s okay I respect your opinion on it I mean I like it myself especially the D-Rex guess I am too much of a dino nerd XD
The films all kind of blur together now, you just have to pick and choose favorite creatures and roll with it!
I’m going to see it this week and I’ve heard so many middling reviews that at this point I’m just looking forward to seeing all the Big Lizard Dogs and going “ouhhh puppy! 🥺” in my fiancé’s ear whenever something walks on screen that’s large enough to eat me in one bite. 😂
I’ve never been so desperate for the dinosaurs to eat mostly everyone in the film until this one
The dinosaurs could have remained on the non-equatorial parts of the mainland with just the special 3 located at the island and he plot would still be the same.
God damn it, I was afraid of that. I haven't seen the movies since World (I wanted to walk about twice, and everyone knows which scenes had me check out entirely) and I'm baffled in how they can screw up a slam-dunk premise of 'people running from cool dinosaurs', and do it SO MANY TIMES??
The premise is GIFT-WRAPPED for hollywood blockheads to write absolutely anything at all, and they still screw it up! Maybe jurassic park was lightning in a bottle in a way, but it was also Steven Spielberg, who knew how to make believable people. AND not-crappy kids.
There weren't many dinos which disappointed me. The d rex only got like 10 minute on the screen. It was supposed to be this huge thing and it left a sour taste in my mouth. This was the most disappointing movie and felt like a cash grab in all honesty. It was a 2 out of 5. The 3rd movie-
Felt that way to like it was more about the people. The movie was a 3 out of 5.
I wanted to ask something. How long did it take for people to actually pay attention to your work? Last week I finally got the copyright registration approved for my own IP, I worked hard on it and I was excited to put it out but its been largely ignored and I feel like a failure.
