I do not see either plans or discipline emerging yet, and those (along with hope) are resources we desperately need to summon.

I like that Indivisible is pivoting. They clearly described how their original theory of change, constituent pressure, is not working and are now rolling out a different set of strategies with trainings.

People would still rather watch sports than be concerned with secret police rounding up non whites and detaining them in tortuous conditions. The work of rebuilding will not begin until there is more solidarity.

Or people who have more at stake than others are taking breaks away from the constant doom scrolling to find moments of peace or even pleasure in a situation that is pretty serious.

The wt ppl have to do this. When they figure it out- it changes. Otherwise they’re waiting for minorities to put their bodies on the line again because they’ve never HAD to do it. Many have chose to.. but the majority have not HAD to. They think someone else is going to “Do Something” over there.

front of someone who is about to be deported, or step down. Barely a peep about the ACTUAL speaker of the House, or white male democrats, or anyone who voted (directly or tacitly) for this regime. All criticism is reserved for members of minority groups who are insufficiently self-sacrificing.
