Canada didn't cave. The DST law is still on the books. We just delayed implementing it because we figured the entertainment value of negotiating with a large, orange toddler would be worth the slight delay.
It’s an absolute win. Carney toss that dog a bone. Can you imagine the outcry from Canadians if Netflix decided to pull out of Canada, or start charging more for subscriptions because of the tax? It wasnt Carney’s bill and he was willing to toss it as a bargaining chip. Calculated move. The result:
