I actually do think we need to get to that point of all the non-GOP healthcare providers refusing care to all Republicans. They want to control medical decisions & cut healthcare for millions. Fine. But they should face consequences.

Actually, the same medical ethics that lets Christian extremists refuse to treat LGBTQ people can work the same way when my strongly held beliefs conflict with providing medical care to fascists.

I thought you were making a joke about that. But you’re right! All healthcare providers at VA can refuse care of patients if they are unmarried or Democrats. Also true for hiring staff: they can discriminate based on marital status, political party, or union membership. McCarthyism returns.

It's rather unfortunate that the majority failed to turn out and vote for an alternative to Trump. Had those who did vote only voted, this likely would not be an issue.

I've practiced for 30 years. I've treated murderers, neoNazi teens, countless MAGA. But that was before I lived in a Police State that is targeting brown people with brutalizing heavily armed Militias & GOP who have declared an armed coup & Civil War against Democrats. That changes the ethical lens.
