You’re right the text doesn’t say they was Pharisee these robbers selling in the temple. But the Pharisees didn’t stop them taking benefits from the peoples, as they might have been totally complicit or benefiting these practices.
Sadducees controlled the Temple. Pharisees were a competing sect.
