I used to live near Tom’s and ate there a few times. I was kind of frustrated that they didn’t lean into the Seinfeld connection, or the Suzanne Veiga connection more. And also that their food was kind of nothing special.

Exactly. There was another diner nearby (Metro?) that was a bit better. Don’t know if that’s still there. But there were definitely times when Tom’s was the right choice.
