Gorgeous shot!
Wow, nice!
Cool! I think that’s what I have growing in my yard. It was labeled a “mystery plant” at my local nursery and I couldn’t resist a challenge! It’s about 8-10 feet tall and has these cute little pompoms on the ends of the branches.
I planted one in our rain garden during covid 2020. It's blossoms resemble the covid virus particles. Something pretty from a horrid year.🙂
Got one from my local Extension office a couple years ago. The bees love it.
👍👍👍Life!
Button Willow
I thought for a second I could grow it but nope, we’re clearly in the brown zone.
🌱 A lake was built nearby in the 1970's. The button bushes there were flooded. After 7 years, a leak developed in the overflow control pipe and the entire lake had to be drained for repairs. The button bushes resprouted from the barren mud that summer.
I planted one of these in an area in my backyard dedicated to the bees and other crawlies. It does well in northern Indiana.
Wow thanks for this I gotta have one! 🤩
Cool!
I visited an arboretum where several six footers were growing on the lake bank and into the water. I could smell them from 30' away and they were covered in various hovering/feeding swallowtail butterflies, something I will never forget. Have seen 12-15' bushes on lake edges but more like 6-8' tops.
SO THIS WAS PHOTOGRAPHED IN WASHINGTON RIGHT
No, it was here at home.
